2019 Mid-Atlantic/Northeast Regional Conference

March 20-22, 2019
Montreal, Québec

Bienvenue à Montréal!

The McGill University local host committee is pleased to showcase our ivy league university and the joie de vivre in our metropolitan city of Montreal in Quebec, Canada.  Welcome!

Founded in 1821, McGill University boasts a distinguished, global community of scholars with over 28,000 students.  It has the highest percentage of PhD students of any other Canadian Research University.

Montreal is the 2nd largest French speaking city in the world.  Both safe and affordable, Montreal is infused with art and a diversity of cultures.  It is located on an island at the junction of the St. Lawrence and Ottawa rivers, north of New York State.

Montréal is famed for its food, from a culinary scene that's endlessly innovative and wildly creative to tried-and-true local cuisine traditions. Swanky bistros, casual eateries and pop-up restaurants all make Montréal's gastronomy experiences as spectacular as they are delicious. It is an important cultural center and a top destination for North American and European tourists enticed by its restaurants, entertainment, neighborhoods and the charm, character and class of its Old City (le Vieux Montreal).

The narrowed cobblestone streets, stone buildings and numerous cafes give Old Montreal a more European character than in any other North American city.  The Westin Hotel is the host hotel and it is nestled between Old Montreal and the thriving and high paced downtown area.

Oh yeah, and did we mention the US dollar is worth 30% more!  …..that’s 30% more opportunities, 30% more learning and 30% more fun!  Look at what McGill and Montreal have to offer you in 2019…..

Merci, Thank you and we look forward to welcoming you CHEZ NOUS! (pronounced: Shey-noo)

(that’s at our house).

It will be an event you will not want to miss!
