NACUFS invites a senior-level collegiate foodservice leader and a next generation, emerging leader from each of 15 self-operated member schools to attend the Operator Roundtables and Foodservice Directors Symposium at the Doubletree Downtown Charleston Historic District in Charleston, SC.

As in previous years, the operator roundtables will provide participants opportunities to engage with industry members committed to helping the collegiate foodservice segment meet their dining excellence and operational goals. Following the roundtables, the 15 institutions from the Operator Roundtables and up to 10 additional individual attendees will attend the Foodservice Directors Symposium January 25-26. The symposium will include discussion around the future of dining services. As in previous years, participants will have input into discussion topics beforehand. Possible topics may include:

How to Apply

Interested institutional members should complete and return the 2018 Operator Roundtables and Foodservice Directors Symposium Application Form. The application deadline is Wednesday, November 8, 2017. Applicants should be prepared to attend the full program that runs from January 23 – 26. If more than 15 schools apply by the deadline, a group of volunteer leaders will select the final cohort to ensure a diverse and representative mix of member schools for engagement.

Next generation leaders are encouraged to talk to their director about applying and first timers are encouraged to apply!

What are the Program Costs?

Through the generous and continuing support for education from NACUFS industry members, each school selected will receive a program grant valued at $2,000 ($1,000 per person). The program grant covers the symposium registration fees and hotel.

Each individual is responsible for covering his/her own travel expenses, including ground transportation to and from the airport, as well as two lunches and one dinner during the program. Breakfasts, breaks, and opening/closing dinners are included.

Symposium Only Registration

A limited number of individual registrations are available to non-grant recipients, on a first-come, first-served basis. To register to attend the Foodservice Directors Symposium, complete and return the 2018 Symposium Only Registration Form with payment.
