Brown University Dining Services is seeking a vibrant new leader to serve as the Assistant Director of the Faculty Club and Catering Operations. The Faculty Club operation is located at the heart of Brown’s main campus on College Hill in Providence, Rhode Island. The Faculty Club is a fine dining establishment that provides service to the Brown University community as well as hosting numerous private parties and special events.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing and controlling the activities and ensuring the successful performance of the Brown Faculty Club and the Brown Dining catering division (sales & operations), including express catering and concessions. Effectively lead a team of managers by promoting a culture of collaboration, trust and accountability. The incumbent must maximize customer satisfaction by ensuring that menu offerings are varied, contemporary and on-trend; that food service is consistently of the highest quality; and offerings competitively priced.
Responsible for oversight of the Brown Faculty Club and Brown Catering operations to ensure the highest standards of food and service quality, operational efficiency, adherence to budget requirements, and customer/member satisfaction. The volume of catering events is approximately 3,500 per year with revenue of $3 million per year. The Faculty Club has sales of approximately $1 million per year.
