From traditional dining halls to restaurants and cafés to catering services, Georgia State’s dining services meet the needs and tastes of all patrons on our diverse campuses.


Approves purchases and reviews monthly financial reports to make necessary
adjustments in operation.
Assures continuous compliance with ACA of all temporary employees by monitoring hours worked. Assures accurate electronic time reporting of all employees for hours worked and timely electronic approval by employees and supervisors of etime.
Meets regularly with the Director of PantherDining to share and gather information. Develops, updates, and monitors retail policies regarding pricing, exceptions, safety, sanitation, security of all products, cash controls, and quality standards. Assures compliance with all applicable permitting codes, rules, and regulations.
Oversees full time staff, as well as student assistants and temporary staff.
Responsible for staff supervision, hiring, training/development, and evaluations.
Works with Director of PantherDining to develop training programs and serves as a resource to promote quality food service.
Promotes sustainability in retail operations. Performs other duties as assigned.
Researches and procures new products, franchises, and services to meet the needs of the campus community. Evaluates sales of all products and services for positive distribution of resources. Manages inventory to ensure proper product levels to meet sales demand and limit waste. Establishes and maintains vendor relationships,and handles outstanding issues with suppliers. Excellent customer service.
Selects and develops menus in accordance with consumer tastes, nutritional needs,ease of preparation, established procedures, and budgetary constraints.
Researches and promotes food service awards

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field and three years of supervisory/management experience, or a combination of education and experience in food services/hospitality industry.

Must have ServSafe certification.
Previous management experience in food service/hospitalitynacufs

Able to work a varying schedule to include nights, and weekends.
