This is responsible administrative and supervisory work in food service management in a large dining commons. Assists in overall operation as manager directs. Assists in planning, organizing and directing Food Services personnel in food production and services. Holds regular production meetings with production staff. Assists in conducting regular sanitation inspection program. Work is performed under the direction of the Food Operations (Dining) Manager or Dining Commons Manager, and is evaluated through observation and in terms of customer satisfaction. All other related duties as assigned.
Requires technical knowledge in the field acquired through an apprenticeship, a 2-year degree, or professional certificate. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualificaitons.
Extensive knowledge in operation of a food service with a diversified staff. Good interpersonal skills. Knowledge of special event planning and production. Knowledge of food service sanitation. Ability to effectively supervise the work of others. Ability to maintain a variety of operating and general records.
