This is a floating position responsible for administrative and supervisory work in Dining Service Management. Work involves planning, organizing and directing of food service work at any of our Retail locations. Work involves assisting the Retail Dining Manager, for food quality and production, is performed under the direction of Retail Dining Manager, and is evaluated through observation and in terms of customer satisfaction. Activities and decisions are varied in nature, requiring independent action and judgment in solving common problems. Unusual cases or questionable matters are resolved with position’s supervisor or other appropriate positions.

Extensive knowledge in operation of a food service with a diversified staff. Good interpersonal skills. Special event planning and production. Knowledge of food service sanitation. Knowledge of health & safety requirements applicable to a large scale food service operation. A basic knowledge of PC’s and or food production software. Ability to effectively supervise the work of others. Ability to maintain a variety of operating & general records. Knowledge of institutional or commercial Food Service management procedures & practices.

Required Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited college or university with course work in dietetics and restaurant management and experience in a large food service unit; or any comparable combination of training, education, and experience
