Responsibilities

Full time, 11month position, benefitted position

40 hour/ week, occasional weekends. NDSCS does require background check for the selected candidate prior to an official offer of the position.

Primary purpose of this position is to provide leadership for recipe and menu development, while incorporating proper production techniques. Will research new products, develop and test recipes, and write standardized production recipes. Will evaluate/implement changes to ensure food quality. This position will apply current and innovative culinary skills and food science techniques required for high standards in overall plate presentation and food quality. Provide hands on training with current staff as recipes and menu items are introduced.

Required Qualifications

Must support the mission, vision, and values of NDSCS

2 year AA degree in Hospitality or Culinary related field

2 year cooking experience in all areas of food preparation

2 year experience developing recipes and menus

2 year advanced experience and knowledge in cooking techniques and food specification

2 years experience and knowledge of lead/ coaching

2 years experience with production management, timing, and coordination

Servsafe Certification

Ability to work a flexible schedule

Computer experience

Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written skills

Customer experience to a diverse college community
